still have the raised bumps on tongue and spots that look like the top layer are eating away.doctor said to rise with peroxide for two weeks and still not helping.dont know what to do.
my mother used to get these bumps in her mouth, they looked like the rest of her tongue, but swollen. i used to think that if tastebuds swelled up they'd look like that. at first there would only be a few and they weren't very big, but she began to notice that they came about if she ate hot peppers, or foods seasoned with crushed red pepper or cayenne pepper. they also got worse with time. her doctor diagnosed allergies to peppers and peanuts/peanut oil. she'd never had these allergies before, but when she discontinued eating those foods the bumps on her tongue stopped. it took a while for them to go away though. maybe you could ask your doc if they might be an allergic reaction.
I don't think this is anything serious that you should be worrying about. I'd recommend you ask your doctor, or just as a dentist. I'm sure both of them would be able to provide you with more information about what it could be.
If they are not painful or causing any discomfort, I wouldn't say this is urgent.
